Trips on Mälaren, my home lake
Munsö in a drizzle
Sunday April 22 and a few degrees above the freezing point. The weather services promise that Spring will arrive next weekend – again.
Winter’s gone
After goofing around for an hour and a half last week, not finding the middle part of the paddle – here we go again. (The thing was, surprisingly, already fitted to the paddle, but so was the storm one at the other paddle half – so the two halfs didn’t fit. Sigh…).
Hässelby strandbad
I bought the dry suit in 2006 or -07, this is the first time since then that the lake is not frozen in January.
Still below the freezing point
Got to take every chance before the lake freezes over. Today at or just below the freezing point again.
Greenland mode
Took a day off work to try out my new three-piece carbon fibre Greenland paddle from Northern Lights (http://www.northernlightpaddles.com/the-paddles/). Today was less windy and the sun was to show up. Temperatures around the freezing point.
Cold and damp
A damp and misty November Saturday.
Lambarön
The fantastic Fall continues.
Last day of Summer?
A warm and wind free day this first weekend of September.
Riddarfjärden
A cool evening after a gray day – i.e. little traffic on the water. Perfect for a kayak trip.
Långholmen
A day when all of Stockholm seemed to enjoy the sun and the waters, boating or swimming.
Kärsön
After a lot of work focus, a short evening trip with Peter. Bliss.
