(Forgot to turn the GPS on today but we started at the pier arms in the right, went through the canal, rounded the Skeppsholmen island at the left and the went south of Djurgården to round the FJäderholmarna islands in the far right.)
Yet another fine Fall day in Stockholm, +5C in the morning and little wind. The sun is low this time of year, see my shadow here at 9:30 am when the kayaks are picked up.
Went out to Djurgården and entered the water at Vikingarnas boat club after consulting with Jascha that we accidentally met. Paddled through the canal.
The Fall colors are still magnificent.
Lots of egrets, pity about the blur of the second picture.
Approaching the Djurgården bridge.
A German shepard watching his masters boat at Strandvägen.
Continued into Nybroviken.
Peter with the National museum to the left and the Royal Palace in the background.
Heading towards the Gröna Lund amusement park.
Looking for a landing spot for the coffee break.
We found it at the Beckholmen bridge.
Then continued at the south side of Djurgården…
…out to the light house at Blockhusudden.
And crossed over to Fjäderholmarna – pure joy.
Fjäderholmarna still contains the defense for Stockholm.
Heading back to round off with another coffe at Kruthuset.
