2007-08-19

Sadly, 2007 was a bad kayak year for me. Passing of parents, lots of travel due to work, an awful summer weatherwise and then Peter L broker a rib wrestling with the neighbors kid. So our planned Stockholm archipelago trip shrank down to a two day trip with myself and brother Magnus. Due to hard winds we ended up with a single day.

We started at Spillersboda and follow land WSW.

The surroundings are really nice, but a bit crowded with summer houses.

We rounded Lilla Arnö and headed eastward towards Svartnö were we turned north. Magnus provided an excellent lunch.

It was tough to leave – obviously in more than one way.

Well that was pretty much it…

…except that I did paddle more in 2007, but without a camera. A number of trips in home waters, a half day outside Orust and then Peter L and I had a nice cold October trip north of Färingsö. But our Finnhamn trip ended up as a boat, not a kayak one. The sauna and food was as good as always – but we do not really want to talk about it…
